Here’s several more ways you can help pets and large animals that need to be or have been evacuated due to the Black Forest Fire…
Dream Power Animal Rescue – Dream Power Animal Rescue is at a max capacity for taking in animals but they still want to help others. They are currently collecting supplies to redistribute to other locations that are still able to take in evacuated animals. You can drop off supplies to their location at 3 Swope Avenue in Colorado Springs and they will see to it that they get where they are needed. Supplies needed include toys, harnesses, stainless steel bowls and cleaning supplies. You can contact them at (719) 390-7838
Rocky Mountain Equine Clinic – They are full too but they will do everything they can to help you move larger animals to safety. They have trailers and people ready and willing to aid you in this time of trouble. You can contact them at (719) 481-2749.
Animal Hospital of Colorado Springs – They currently have room for small pets if you need a place to keep your evacuated pets. (I personally use them and they will take great care of your loved ones!) You can contact them at (719) 579-9488.
719Woman LOVES animals and we hope your pets and animals have a safe place to go to. A lot of times shelters that house people, don’t’ have the ability to house pets and animals too. Thanks to all the shelters and clinics that are trying to find safe and friendly places your pets can stay in during these scary and tough times!
If you know of more places helping the animals in our lives, feel free to add them!
