Last week my husband and I were at a friend’s house with a few other friends and everyone brought a dish to share. The dish that went home empty belonged to my friend Beth, who made these Super Bowl Party Ham & Cheese Sliders. They looked and smelled amazing. I unfortunately couldn’t taste them since I have Celiac disease and can’t have gluten but my husband loved them. Everyone loved them! In fact my husband liked them so much he actually stopped eating long enough to ask Beth what the ingredients were. He never does that so I know they must taste great.
HAM & CHEESE SLIDERS
Prep: 15 minutes Cook: 20 minutes Serves: 12
Ingredients:
1 pound deli ham, thinly sliced
1/2 pound baby Swiss cheese, sliced
2 packages (24 count total) dinner rolls (my friend used Kings Hawaiian rolls which is what I personally would use)
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1/3 cup brown sugar
Directions:
Split rolls and make sandwiches with the rolls, ham, and cheese. Fill a 9 x 13 pan with sandwiches. (You can squeeze them all in.)
In a medium saucepan, bring butter, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, and brown sugar to a soft boil.
Pour sauce over top of sandwiches.
Cover pan with foil and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes.
Enjoy!
