I’ve been making this dip for years and I guarantee you there won’t be any leftovers! The recipe takes about 10 minutes to pull together and requires only 6 ingredients. In the past I could whip this up for about $5 to $6 but that was with me shopping sale prices and visiting a couple of stores. As I’ve mentioned, we are currently having all our groceries delivered and not shopping at stores so my choices aren’t as broad as they once were. This week the recipe cost me about $9 but it serves 12 so for a special occasion or get-together, I’m willing to pay the extra because it’s just so darn good.
CRACK DIP
Takes 10 minutes, serves 12
Ingredients:
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 package (1 oz.) ranch salad dressing mix
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (8 oz.)
1/2 cup coarsely chopped cooked bacon, 6 slices
sliced green onions for garnish if desired
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch dressing mix until well blended. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
Stir in bacon. Top with sliced green onions and extra shredded cheese if desired.
