Halloween is in a few days and if you’re looking to add some last-minute spooky décor, here’s an idea that is fast, easy and super cheap!
To fill in spaces on some of my shelves and other areas, I simply went in the yard, cut off a bunch of dead branches and stuck them in vases. Yep, it’s that easy. You can of course add spider webs if you want, like I did with some, or leave them bare.
I added a web to the branches in this picture, along with a mummy from Discover Goodwill and the hand which came from the Dollar Tree.
On this shelf I again added webs, along with the big skeleton head and rat from Goodwill. The bobble-head looking skeleton came from the Dollar Tree and I had some dead roses that I used in different areas, like here.
My husband picked up these skeleton hand glasses at Safeway which I filled with water and red food coloring. I made the bats out of construction paper and hung them on the wall with painters tape, which didn’t leave any marks on the wall and kept the bats hanging without falling down.
Food coloring and glass jars make for some easy and cheap décor too. I picked up packages of small items like skeletons, fingers, and various other creepy things at the Dollar Tree and added them to the glass jars.
This looks particularly spooky at night with shadows from the branches reflecting on the wall.
Web, paper birds I made, and lots of painters tape…
Web and a friendly ghost…
And this has nothing to do with branches or vases but with spiders I made, again using black construction paper. The nails were already on the wall so I just took the pictures down and pushed the spiders through the nails…EASY!
