No matter if you’re creating a special meal for you and your partner this Valentine’s Day or simply want to add a bit of fun to the family dinner table, here’s a few quick, easy and super cheap ways to dress up your table….all from the Dollar Tree. *Everything at the Dollar Tree is $1 (or less).
The scattered rose petals come in red, pink or white in bags of 300 for $1….enough to scatter on the table (and anywhere else in the house!) The red and white heart spray in the back is actually a balloon weight. You could add balloons or simply use as a cute centerpiece like we did. The two red glitter hearts sticking out of the napkin are picks sold in packs of 7…these also look cute in a vase. You could also tie names on each for fun place settings. The red placements were $1 each (and actually quite well-made). And the wire-edged valentine ribbon (used as a napkin ring) comes in spools of 3 to 4 yards, with lots of patterns to choose from.
If you don’t have wine glasses, the Dollar Tree has a huge selection for reds and whites. The ladybug glass is actually a vase but works great as a glass too (you could also fill it up with chocolate Kisses for a cute candy presentation). And the glass with hearts is made of plastic, which would be perfect for kids or to use for summer picnics with your honey. The white plates are $1 each….they have matching saucers, bowls and cups too.
These red heart glasses came in a package of 2 for $1. Another fun way for the kids to feel “special”, (they are plastic)….Or fill it up with some sparkling wine for yourself. You could also put a couple of roses in them or fill them up with the heart picks we showed.
The glitter scatter hearts come in a package of 60. You could also use these in lunch boxes (as a surprise for your kids or honey). Or glue them on a homemade card. (Or scatter around the tub with some candles for a romantic soak.) The small box of chocolates contain 4 yummy treats, just the right amount without too much temptation! You could pick a different design for everyone at the table.
Doesn’t get much easier than this! Just scatter a few candy hearts around the table. A box of candy hearts at each plate makes fun place settings too. Four boxes for $1.
Another easy way to decorate and send a message. These mini heart containers come in a package of 10, with each having a different saying. Use alone or create a bigger message like we did. If you send treats to school, you could fill them up with some mini chocolates.
And for a fun (if noisy) treat for the kids, these heart-shaped clickers would be fun….you could also “personalize” them with glitter pens…..
