I have been working on a post about laundry stains and how to get rid of them with items like vinegar, baking soda, hairspray, etc., but I’m still experimenting (on a white napkin)….I saw this article on how to get rid of stains on carpet and furniture and found the tips interesting. Most of the products are everyday items you already have or cleaning solutions you can buy at the store (most I had never heard of).
I did not put any of these items that can stain on my carpet or furniture to try the cleaning tips out so I don’t actually know if they work. I figure it’s much easier and less expensive to test on a white napkin for my laundry stains test!
As soon as I finish my own experiments I’ll let you know what works and what doesn’t….in the meantime, if you’ve tried any of the following cleaning tips, we’d love to hear from you and find out if they worked or didn’t.

There are different materials for removing each type of stain on furniture. Baking soda can be used to remove milk stain and white vinegar removes stain caused by beer. If the stain is caused by water what you can do is put a piece of cotton cloth over the stain then press a dry iron with no steam on the cloth for several second.
