I love summer! I love the sun and heat, spending time in my garden, listening to the birds, and just feeling energized from the sun after months of snow and cold. And, as I’ve mentioned numerous times, I love grilling and spending time on our back deck with a bottle of wine and whatever critters might happen to join us. Another thing I might have mentioned a time or two is how much I enjoy going to our local Farmers Markets. We make it a point to go on a regular basis for farm-fresh veggies while supporting our local farmers.
If you’re in the Colorado Springs area, here is a list of the 2017 Farmers Markets…

And if you’re not in our area, just google “farmers market 2017” for your area and you should be able to pull up a list.
We enjoy grilling our veggies or tossing them in fresh salads. Last year we became addicted to heirloom tomatoes and drove to Denver quite a few times just to pick them up at one of our favorite markets there. Our fave Farmers Market in Denver, which makes for a fun day trip if you’re in the area, is the one at Union Station. Check out my post from last year with some great pictures of all the fresh delights we discovered.
