My husband is a huge football fan and I am not. We both look forward to football season though. On football “days” I know my hubby will have his cute butt plopped in a chair for pretty much most of the day, while I will have my equally cute butt (wearing comfy sweats) in bed reading. It works for us.
I typically don’t watch the Super Bowl, unless we have company over, but I do like to record it so I can watch the commercials. Yes I admit, I am that person who watches the Super Bowl just for the commercials. Well, and depending on who is performing, the half-time show too.
Sunday, February 5th is Super Bowl LI (51) and truthfully, I had to look up who was playing against each other (or ask my husband for the dozenth time.) I couldn’t even remember who won last year until I looked it up. And yes, I’m sure that living in Colorado, that’s probably not something I should admit (Denver Broncos won.)
I remember when Janet Jackson had a wardrobe malfunction during half-time and I know that Bruno Mars played in 2014. The only reason I know when Bruno Mars played is because we were actually on vacation on the beautiful island of Kauai and I sun bathed in the back yard while the game was on. Darn, really wish we were there right now soaking in some sun!
This year Lady Gaga will be performing, along with Tony Bennett, in the half-time show and there are several commercials I’m really interested in seeing. But not enough to where I’ll watch the game. Unless plans change, my husband and I will be happily separated for hours, with me periodically meandering through the house, looking for snacks, with an occasional “Who’s winning?” grunted out. Like I said, it works for us.
Here is some interesting background info on the Super Bowl. If you have guests coming over, or you’re watching the game as a family, you could always see who knows the most answers.
