The Hunt is ON!
I took my girlfriend Charlotte to Goodwill for a CHEAP shopping spree. Charlotte shopped at thrift stores when she was younger but as she became more successful, she stopped shopping them because she could afford more expensive clothes. And don’t we usually equate success with how much we can spend on something? When we see each other she’s always complimenting me on my outfits and I usually say, “Goodwill”. The other day her husband “encouraged” us to go shopping at Goodwill and see if we could find something to Charlotte’s liking and in a price range he would prefer! Well, we were SO SUCCESSFUL! Check out what she got for $44.03 (without tax)…..if bought new it would have all cost about $250-…BIG difference!
The Threads
Look how sexy Charlotte looks in this outfit and she can wear all the pieces with lots of other items in her closet. With the heels it’s a sexy look and with flats or sandals she can transform it to a more casual feel. The Covington jeans cost $3.99, her striped (and very comfy) shirt is The Limited that she paid $2.09 for and her shoes… Jessica Simpson! The shoes looked like they had never been worn and the best part-cost $7.99!
Maxi (long) dresses are always popular in the spring and summer months. They’re comfortable for casual summer days (or nights) without being sloppy and can take you from the beach to a nice dinner out. Char threw on a jean jacket since there was a bit of a chill in the air…..looks like she should be at a resort. This dress (Derek Heart) cost her $7.99.
Another great maxi that flatters and looks great on Charlotte. The colors are perfect for her and she looks casual and comfortable and very stylish. She likes a bit of a “bohemian” feel in her clothes. This didn’t have a label in it but cost $7.99. This would be perfect for anything from a shopping trip to a barbecue to a stroll along the beach…..
This blue romper style dress from Dolled Up by Fang ($7.99) is an example of something that didn’t look great on the hanger but Charlotte saw it and wanted to try it on. I couldn’t believe it was the same dress. I would have actually passed it by, just seeing it hanging on the rack. It’s fun, flirty and very flattering. This would be a perfect dress to pack for a beach vacation, lounge around in or run errands. And it’s also perfect for drinks out downtown.
OOH LALA! Need I say more? This Wet Seal dress was $7.99 and looks like it was made for Charlotte. Her husband’s eyes almost popped out when she came out of the dressing room. All five of these outfits would be perfect for a vacation trip, summer cook-outs, dining out, shopping, running errands (well, she probably wouldn’t be grocery shopping in the black dress)….Wonder if her husband has noticed a theme here with all the outfits…..beach, vacation, dining out. Bet if she throws that black dress in a suitcase, he’ll be booking some flights! (And he’ll be able to afford to when she shops like this!)
Should be Illegal… 😉
Five great looks, all the clothes are in excellent shape, they look current and flatter Charlotte’s body. She’s beautiful in all of them and total cost (before tax) a whopping $44.03…..the shoes alone would have cost more (new) than all of these outfits.
