It’s Election Day…Finally! (Enjoy Some Zombie Political Humor)

It’s been quite a year politically and I for one am happy it’s finally Election Day. To add some humor to what has seemed to be a particularly divided and nasty race, my husband and I threw a Halloween party with a “zombie politics” theme. And we poked fun at everyone…

So just for fun, on what could be a tension-filled day, I thought I’d share some of our zombie pictures we used as decorations.

As guests entered our house they were greeted by our first president.

Chris Christie and Ted Cruz were both looking a bit pale.

Obviously Nancy Pelosi is not wearing waterproof mascara!

I was practicing with my zombie look makeup while Hillary was still in her robe…

Fake scars, business suit, pantsuit…these two are photo-ready.

As I said earlier, we poked fun at everyone…Presidents Obama, Clinton, and Reagan.

And one of these bobble heads is going to be our next president…

Actually, tomorrow when we all wake up…one of these two will be our next Commander In Chief.

Our party was a huge success with everyone dressing up as their favorite (or least favorite) politician. Alcohol and politics usually don’t mix well but everyone behaved…ha! It was easy and fun finding and printing up all the pictures which added to the overall theme without costing a ton of money. Most of the other decorations came from Discover Goodwill (including that fabulous Hillary pantsuit,) or the Dollar Tree.

An election year as we’ve never seen before…and if you don’t vote, don’t complain!
