Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer which means tons of great deals on summer clearance items. Summer-related items will be deeply discounted so stores can make room for all the new fall/holiday stock coming in. Bad news (for me) is colder weather is coming but the good news is I do like to stock up for next summer with all the bargains I can find now.
Besides summer-related goods, mattresses tend to be at some of their lowest prices during the Labor Day weekend sales. I also load up on school supplies during September. After school has begun, when the stores are trying to make room for Halloween products, items like notebooks, spirals, paper, pens, and pencils really get marked down. (There’s a short time-frame for school supplies because after the big clearance sale, these items will go back up in price.)
I tend to use a lot of paper so when I find spirals on sale I load up. Last year I bought 20 spiral notebooks, which lasted me the entire year for $2.00. A huge bargain!
Here’s a list of some of the most deeply discounted items on sale during the month of September. (Just remember, you’re not saving money when you buy things you really don’t need…I have to remind myself of that during big sale events!)
