I wrote an earlier article about using olive oil as a beauty product (cleaning your face, shaving, etc.) and here’s another great and inexpensive item to try in your beauty regimen…..castor oil. Yup, castor oil.
Among some of the many ways you can use it are:
- treating acne
- removing moles and warts
- hair growth
- deep conditioning your hair
- fading age spots (my very favorite!)
I’ve been using it for about a month now on an age spot next to my eye and I can already see a difference. I simply apply a small amount every night before I go to bed to the spot and wash my face the next day. There is a definite difference that I can see and it’s not only fading the spot but making my skin smoother looking too.
Read on in this great article I found about castor oil for tons of other ideas to try.
Tammy’s Tip ‘O the Day
*You want to make sure the castor oil you buy (when using on your face) is cold-pressed or cold-drawn, which is hexane-free, so it doesn’t clog your pores. I bought mine at Natural Grocers for $7.69 for a 16 ounce bottle. It’s cheap, effective, and multi-purpose.

This is great! I use Coconut oil for many things, but I haven’t tried Castor oil! Precious blessings!
