I was at a friend’s birthday party and one of her gifts was a big jar of Vodka Gummy Bears, which I had never heard of, but they were really good! These are super easy to make, only requires two ingredients, and are fun to gift, keep for yourself, or serve at a get-together. Of course if you have kids at home, you want to make sure to keep them out of reach.
* This recipe makes 3 pounds…if you want to make less, just make sure the vodka covers the gummy bears.
Thanks to Ashley Schill for sharing her recipe!
VODKA GUMMY BEARS –
Ingredients:
- 3 pound bag of gummy bears
- Vodka (between 750 ml – 1 liter)
For GF or V…Double check gummy/gummi bear labels since some are GF/V and some aren’t.
Directions:
Step 1 – Pour entire bag of gummy bears into a glass bowl and spread them out evenly.
Step 2 – Pour enough vodka over the gummies to mostly cover the top of them. Give them a quick stir to ensure all of the gummies stay separate, then even them out so the vodka covers them. Cover with lid or plastic wrap and place in fridge.
Step 3 – Stir the gummy bears every 5 to 6 hours to ensure they don’t get stuck together. (If they do, gently separate with fingers.)
Step 4 – After a day of soaking you can add additional vodka so the gummies are almost covered again. Then allow to soak for another 2 days. The gummies can soak for longer but you want a minimum of 3 days soaking in fridge.
Step 5 – Enjoy!
(Store vodka soaked gummy bears in refrigerator.)
