I found some fabulous beauty buys at the Dollar Tree that are perfect for this time of year….and everything only costs $1.00 each!
My skin gets so dry this time of year so when I saw this Dermasil Dry Skin Treatment Lotion I figured, “What the heck. It’s only a dollar, let’s see how well it works.” Well, it was a dollar well spent. It is very moisturizing without being greasy and my hands immediately felt softer. This lotion contains four systems to control and provide long-lasting relief from severe dry skin; Occlusives to block moisture loss from the skin’s surface, Humectant to bind water in the skin’s outermost layers, Skin Lipids to enhance the skin’s natural ability to retain moisture, and EFA’s an important component of the skin’s moisture barrier….and it’s hypoallergenic.
Last month I wore an outfit that gaped a bit in the chest and I held it together with painters tape….seriously. This fashion secret tape I found at the Dollar Tree though works way better and isn’t expensive. With holiday parties around the corner, I thought this was a perfect product to buy…it’s a transparent double-side tape that doesn’t hide your skin’s natural color, providing a discreet, gentle and skin-friendly solution to keep your clothes and accessories perfectly in place. It’s ideal for wearing halter neck, deep plunge and open-sided fashions. And it helps hold up strapless tops, controls blouse gaps, and fixes hems fast. This will become a staple in my wardrobe…..and it comes with 26 double-sided adhesive strips.
A lot of people travel this time of year and with luggage prices continually going up, it’s a good thing to pack less. You can find these travel bottles at most stores but I’d rather pay just a dollar for them…and this package contains 3 bottles. They are also the perfect size for your purse.
I think e.l.f. products are great and reasonably priced. This foundation brush is one of their newer items and I really liked it. Foundation brushes help achieve ultra smooth, pore-less finishes when applying foundation or tinted moisturizer. And with e.l.f., each brush has been ergonomically designed to fit perfectly into your hand and facilitates a flawless finish with every application. *One thing I really like about this is that the bristles don’t come out easily as with some inexpensive brushes.
I have been buying L.A. Colors nail polish for years because it’s cheap, doesn’t easily chip and they come out with really pretty colors.
This color is blood-red, which is really hot this fall…it’s warm and deep, and evokes the richness of the autumn landscape. And again, it’s only a dollar!
Another L.A. Colors product that I really like. This eyeshadow palette contains six fabulous fall colors that are perfect for day or evening looks. (Color CP206-Prism) The shadow doesn’t crease, goes on smoothly without tugging or pulling and the colors are rich and vibrant. And it comes with a brow pencil too.
And my favorite beauty buy this month….this new Maybelline Express Care, which moisturizes dry cuticles. It’s an aloe and vitamin B5 enriched formula that nurtures and conditions dry cuticles with gentle multi-hydroxy acids. You simply brush it on and then massage it in. I’ve been using it every night for the last week and love it.
And remember…each of these fabulous beauty buys only cost a dollar (at the Dollar Tree)….which fits right in my budget.
