It really doesn’t take much to update your wardrobe as the seasons change. As the weather cools down and you begin to pull out your heavier material pants and tops, sweaters, jackets, etc., think about what you can pair them with before you pack away some of your warmer weather items. Think capris with a sweater and boots, a sleeveless summer dress with tights and a blazer, tanks under longs sleeved tops…
You can find lots of different items to help you update your wardrobe at your local thrift/non-profit stores for a fraction of what they would cost new. My friend just found two fabulous White House Black Market long sweaters (both in black and white-always a winning color combination) that look brand new and both cost less than $10 versus the $75 and up price they would have cost if purchased new.
- Every month we have a Discover Goodwill contest and this month’s contest starts today, Tuesday, October 1st and runs through Saturday, October 5th.
- We’ll announce the winner on Sunday the 6th.
- All you have to do to enter is leave a comment as to why you want/need some “new” fall items.
- The winner needs to be able to meet me at a local Discover Goodwill store (Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, Fountain or Pueblo area). We’ll have fun shopping and pick up the tab ($25 worth.) And if you don’t need anything, feel free to enter a friend who could use some help.
*The winner needs to also agree to allow us to use pictures of them and the fabulous clothes we find in a future post.
Good luck!
