I think we have one of the best zoos here in Colorado Springs! (It was voted one of the top 10 zoos by Trip Advisor). This summer the zoo has new babies like a Red River hoglet, a porcupette and 3 lynx kittens. In addition, 2 wallaby joeys (from Texas) will be joining the zoo. Last summer I visited the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo three times and had a blast each and every time. I think I’m an animal “whisperer” so I feel the need to try to talk to each animal, which my family is used to so they don’t get too embarrassed!
When you’re on a budget though, even a day at the zoo can a challenge so we’d like to help with 2 free tickets.
- All you have to do is leave a comment as to why you want to visit the animals!
- The contest starts today (Sunday, June 9th) and ends Saturday, June 15th.
- We’ll announce the winner on Sunday, June 16th. The winner will be randomly drawn and we’ll mail the tickets to you. (Value worth $34.50).
And don’t forget to check out the Will Rogers Shrine, which is included with zoo admission, that you can drive up to. Elevation of the shrine is over 8,000 feet on the top deck which offers breathtaking views of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region.
Good luck!!
I love the wild and and crazy animals!
Me too! Good luck Deborah!
The zoo is on our list of things to do this summer. A little help with the tickets would be amazing!
Good luck Kylie! We actually went yesterday and all the new additions are so cool!
Hi Tammy, I am still loving the wonderful outfit you helped me select in a Goodwill makeover.I just love your blog! Thanks for all the useful information.Terry Barber
Thanks Terry and let me just share with you, our post on your makeover was one of our most viewed! I think you were an inspiration (fashion and how you live your life) to many!
would love to see encounter Africa exhibit!
Candace, it’s a great exhibit. Good luck!!
I haven’t been to the zoo in a few years, but have heard about all the amazing updates. I hope to win these tickets and take my soon to be 7 year old. It would be a thrilling adventure for both of us. Thank you!
He’d have so much fun Abigail….Good luck!
Our family is doing a “local” vacation this year due to the government furloughs. We would love to add the Zoo to our vacation!
Rebecca…there’s so many things to do around here for a “local” vacation and the zoo is one of the best! Good luck!
I have not been to the zoo in a few years, but have heard about all the amazing updates. I hope that I win the drawing. What a fun surprise for my 7 year old that would be. We could go on an adventure date. Thank you!
It has been far too long since I’ve been to the zoo, and they’ve added so many new things!
It’s bigger and better than ever! Good luck Teresa.
Haven’t been to the zoo for too long. Would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to take the kiddos to see the new elephant exhibit! They’ve needed a new habitat for so long and I’m super excited for them. Also, I’ve read there have been many, many babies that have been born recently. You are right…being on a budget, a day at the zoo is a challenge, so thank you so much for the opportunity!!
The kids will love it. And the new elephant exhibit is really nice, they have so much more room now…Good luck Myra!
My family loves to visit all of the animals! It’s such a fun day for all of us when we can go and it creates awesome memories!
Love the family times that the kids not only enjoy but have memories of….Good luck Alaina!
I’ve been wanting to take my kids to the new Encounter Africa exhibit, and to see all the new babies before they’re grown, but our budget is pretty tight. Going to the zoo is a rare thing for us, usually reserved for special occasions. At 4 and 6, my boys still get really excited to see all the animals, plus I think our zoo, even though it’s smaller, is way better than the Denver zoo! Could really use the help with the tickets! Thanks!
Kathleen…I’m sure your boys would love all the baby animals! Good luck!
Ooo…the zoo so much fun! Really would love to go. Been awhile since i have gone and nice to give the animals a nice visit with a little love! So cute seeing the babies too!
Good luck Katlyn…we went yesterday and had so much fun, hard not to at the zoo!
Definitely my favorite place to visit (the only zoo I have ever liked too, not to mention love!). I love the animals, the pants, the views, the beauty of the entire place!
I love trying to spot the tiger & wolves hiding in their beautiful habitats,… I love seeing how the moose change. The bears always love to show off, as do the meerkats & giraffes.
I have been looking forward to seeing the new elephant area, and other changes they have made.
So why do I want to see the animals, the answers are endless! But the short answer they make my day!
You sure do know our zoo Tina! Good luck and I mentioned earlier, the new elephant area is great! They have so much more room and a waterfall to play in!
Thank you Tammy! The elephant area sounds wonderful (they sure needed a nicer space, and that sounds like a beauty– my camera is dying to check that out 🙂 )
We are flying our neices out next month and a trip up there would be so much fun for them!
June, they really would love it (and very nice your nieces can spend some of their summer here with you)…Good luck!
