So, about 8 years ago, when I apparently had no friends who shopped with me, I bought an ORANGE dress for a Christmas party (because I didn’t want to blend in?). And not only is it orange, it looks like a pageant dress AND it cost a lot of money! I (thank goodness) ended up not wearing it to the party (maybe it was the look on my date’s face when I first showed it to him?) Since then, I’ve worn it for a Halloween party and a birthday party of mine a while back. I haven’t got rid of it because I spent so much money on it….and it really looks good on the hanger! And you just never know when you might be in a pageant.
Anyway, since it IS a “Christmas Dress”, I decided to dust if off and put it on . I figure if I wear it about 30 more times, I’ll have got my money’s worth! Maybe I should start having our Halloween parties a black-tie event? Anyway, the cats wanted (not really) to get in on the action…and to remind you that if you’re looking for a pet, the Humane Society and all the other great shelters out thereĀ have lots of lovingĀ pets looking for a home. (All of our babies came from the Humane Society).
So from the cats and I, we wish you a
MERRY CHRISTMAS
&
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
This is Harpo…he’s the “good boy”……gets along with everyone and gets yelled at the least.
So Fergie is the oldest and thinks she’s the queen bee….
This is why she wanted down…she hates sharing the limelight!
Smokey is our newest addition and my cuddler. We adopted her when the Humane Society needed to make room for the evacuated pets during the Waldo Canyon Fire…..I remember how many, many people were there (hundreds), adopting cats to help out. It was amazing.
Buddy is our “different” cat. He’s very funny and a bit of an oddball. And still adjusting to not being the baby anymore.
Again, if you’re ever looking for a pet, saving one from the shelters is a great way to do it!
And once more….
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES!
