I love all ten of the foods listed in this article. For years I didn’t eat brussel sprouts because I grew up with my mom cooking frozen brussel sprouts that were mushy and they (to me) just didn’t taste good. Then I discovered how wonderful fresh brussel sprouts tasted when sautéed in a bit of olive oil and/or butter and salt and pepper. They are also really good when roasted in the oven. We cook fresh brussel sprouts whenever they are on sale now and there’s never any leftovers!
You can always find good deals on red meats if you look in the freezer section of meats that are about to expire…there’s nothing wrong with the meat and you can save 30 to 50%.
Pistachios are usually on sale at Safeway once a month where they are buy one get one free.
Whole-grain oatmeal becomes even healthier when you add some fresh berries, and shrimp has been on sale a lot for $5.00 lb.
Curry is on the list and I have to admit I don’t usually cook with it but now I’m interested in doing so….
